The Lord of the rings



The story takes place in Middle-earth, in the last days of the Third Age of the World. It is divided into three main parts and counts the pounds for possession of the One Ring power. In the primordios of the times, the gods forged rings of power and were given to the races that populated that world. Nine rings given to the kings of the men, seven rings to the dwarven kings, and three rings to the kings of the elves. Meanwhile, Sauron, an evil god, learned the secret of the creation of the rings and forged the Ring, so powerful that he was able to dominate all the others. In possession of the Ring, Sauron disseminated the evil that marked the end of the Second Age. The Ring ended up plucking from Sauron and the forces of evil were defeated. Sauron lost his bodily form and his spirit was imprisoned in the Land of Mordor. The story of the first two Eras of the World, including the creation of the Rings of Power and the defeat of Sauron are told in the book The Silmarillion. As for the Ring, which disappeared after the battle. After death many men fell into the hands of Gollum, a hobbit who was perverted by the evil force of the ring, spending his life isolated in a dark cave filled with fetid water. The book The Hobbit narrates a series of adventures lived by the hobbit Bilbo Bolsón, that accidentally takes possession of the Ring and takes to the Shire. At the beginning of the story after the return of a series of adventures, Bilbo continues with the Ring, but does not have a clear of its evil power. In spite of the unknown, the Ring has other effects on the wearer: it prolongs the life of its bearer and causes a powerful desire of possession, being able to reach the perverse acts for its conservation.

Aragorn 

Aragorn is a dúnadan, born in the year 2931 T. E. as the first and only son of Arathorn II and Gilraen. After the death of his father he became the sixteenth and final captain of the North Dúnedain, since he was a direct descendant of King Isildur. In this way and after participating prominently in the War of the Ring, became first king of the Unified Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor.


Gandalf 

Gandalf also called Olórin in Aman, was sent to Middle Earth in the Third Age of the Sun along with other four maiar, thus forming the Order of the Istari, whose objective was to fight to Sauron and to protect of him the inhabitants of Middle Earth . The elf Círdan, who witnessed his arrival, gave him one of the three Elven rings, Narya. He made numerous trips and tried to meet all the peoples of Middle-earth, a fact that led him to the Shire and Bilbo Baggins, thus triggering the stories told in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.


Legolas


Legolas (in Sindarin 'green leaf') is a sinda elf, son of Thranduil, king of the Silvan elves of the Black Forest. He was part of the Fellowship of the Ring, whose goal was the destruction of the One Ring of Sauron. During these events, Legolas developed great friendship with Aragorn, that would be crowned like King Elessar, and with Gimli the dwarf. In this way, Legolas personified the reconciliation of Elfos and Dwarfs, two towns inimical since the Wars of Beleriand. After the War of the Ring, he moved to the Forests of Ithilien, where he founded an Elf principality; But, attracted by the Sea in the Fourth Age, he set up a ship and (together with Gimli) set out for the Imperishable Lands, on the mainland of Aman
